Tiverton Land Trust Announces Major Fund Drive Donation

The Tiverton Land Trust announces the receipt of a $50,000 personal donation for land preservation. The donors are Tiverton residents and embrace the land trust’s goals of preserving and protecting open space in Tiverton.

“It’s a wonderful boost to start off our 2008 fund efforts!” said Connie Lima, president of the land trust. “Now, with this significant contribution and a 100% giving by our board, we’re on our way to meeting our goals. We have a full slate of exciting events scheduled this year, all geared to creating awareness of the importance of preserving our rural character. We expect to provide interest and fun while encouraging donations to the effort” she added.
